At the bottom of all layers of wallpaper in old Swedish houses, there is usually a hand-printed wallpaper in ultramarine blue. Just such wallpaper and standard paintings in Uplands 18th-century farms Vallhovs säteri and Landsberga kungsgård have inspired the blanket BLÅKLINT.
Blåklint is Östergötland's landscape flower.
